We successfully passed under the Mackinac Bridge from Lake Huron to Lake Michigan couple days ago trying to dodge stormy winds and waters, especially this time of year.
We made it to Washington Harbour, Washington Island, WI, to a beautiful anchorage in anticipation of a storm.
We will be headed down to Sturgeon Bay as soon as the weather permits! Then crossing back over to Lake Michigan to continue down to Chicago and on down the river systems...
We've enjoyed some beautiful time here exploring the shore park and Nick even got to dive the wreck of the Schooner Louisiana!
(Better pics and video to come when we have better signal 😮👍🏻)
You were a beautiful addition to Washington harbor during your stay. Enjoyed meeting you on my paddle around the harbor. It looks like a stretch of excellent weather to speed you South. I'll try and attach some photos of the harbor ship wrecks from the Jackson Harbor Maritime museum. Safe travels, Kathy
Uploading photos didn't go well...
